Trivikram's brilliance as a writer

Khaleja , fourth directorial venture of Trivikram opened to mixed reviews all over the state and is continuing to baffle the critics and fans alike






With comedy as the basic theme and spiritualism as the undertone, it could not get the message across to the people but the movie is not without trademark "Triviramisms". Trivikram, considered to be the best writer after Jandhyala in Telugu film industry has written some superb dialogues in the movie


What has come as a surprise though is the inclusion of entendre in the movie and it has not gone down well with family audiences to an extent, but such is the screenplay of the movie that they don't seem forced on us. It's in the second half of the movie that the writer in Trivikram comes into form in Khaleja. The way the dialogues on mass hysteria, over-expectations, and fitness levels are written, it's bound to bring a smile on your face


His previous movie Jalsa had some brilliant dialogues too. Mukesh Rishi, Prakash Raj, and Pawan Kalyan add a lot to those scenes but it was the writing that made those scenes amazing. Sampler being a dialogue of Mukesh Rishi "Bedhirumpu ki bhasha akkarledhu (Threatening does not need a language)". It had classical comic moments too, Prakash Raj, playing the father of Illeana says "Nenu koothurlani kannadhi, neeku loverlu supply cheyyataniki annatu undhi (It looks like I gave birth to daughters, so that you can love them)" and the conversation between Pawan Kalyan, Illeana, and Sivaji can bring the house down at any moment


Illeana: "Maku privacy kavali" (We need privacy)


Pawan Kalyan: "Naaku Aishwarya Rai kavali, kudharadhu ga" (I too want Aishwarya Rai- not possible)


Even Athadu, his biggest hit had some superb dialogues. As far as dialogues go, his first movie, "Nuvve Nuvve" takes the cake. It had some of the best dialogues of the time. It was a movie after which boys desired they had a girl friend named Anjali as a dialogue in the movie goes "Amma.. Avakayya.. Anjali" and the movie has canorous implications whenever Tarun and Prakash Raj get together in a scene


The most impressive dialogue written by him according to me is "Maanam thappu chestunammo, right chestunaamo, manaki telusthundhi, manaki matrame telusthundhi, meeku telusu" (We and only we know whether we are doing the right thing or the wrong thing, even you know it)

    Nice post ..But it was a disappointment ..The movie sucked..Mahesh's acting stands on par with the best!!

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara

Ten years ago a young man gave the Hindi film industry a breath of fresh air with his ‘cult’ film Dil Chahta Hai . It was, in all senses a coming of the age movie. That young man now acts in a movie directed by his sister. The movie bears uncanny resemblance to the movie made by the man himself Starring Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol and Farhan Akhtar (in the same order as they appear in screen credits), the movie has a lot going for it. The star cast is a major plus and the biggest positive for the movie is the location that it has been shot in- Spain What starts off as a fun trip changes into one where the protagonists confront their fears and in the process we peel the layers of their personalities. Though at some places the movie seems dragged, it does the job of taking you along with the proceedings. High Strung Book review

  Bjorn Borg, John McEnroe and Jimmy Connors were names we knew from the countless tournaments they played and won. For instance, when McEnroe defeated Borg in a five-setter, I didn’t know that it was the first time Borg had lost a five-setter in 14 times.
