India V Australia 2nd ODI

Finally the teams have played an ODI! What was a 7-ODI series was later changed to 2-Tests and 3-ODI series. The crowd have been richer by the change in the schedule as we got to see a classic in Mohali and the batting guns booming in Bengaluru The focus then shifted to the ODI's and after the first match at Kochi was abandoned without a ball being bowled, it was felt that the same would happen to the One-dayer at Visakhapatnam. In the event, with the seniors being rested it was felt that India kickstarted the preparations for World Cup as they gave chances to a few players on the fringes. What was refreshing to watch was that it was new players who got the chance rather than the Sharma's and the Pathan's of the Indian cricketing scene After India won the toss and chose to field , it was apparent that there was a lot more trust on the batting prowess than the bowling abilities Australia got off to a slow start owing to the slowness of the pitch and with Clarke too no

Trivikram's brilliance as a writer

Khaleja , fourth directorial venture of Trivikram opened to mixed reviews all over the state and is continuing to baffle the critics and fans alike With comedy as the basic theme and spiritualism as the undertone, it could not get the message across to the people but the movie is not without trademark " Triviramisms ". Trivikram, considered to be the best writer after Jandhyala in Telugu film industry has written some superb dialogues in the movie What has come as a surprise though is the inclusion of entendre in the movie and it has not gone down well with family audiences to an extent, but such is the screenplay of the movie that they don't seem forced on us. It's in the second half of the movie that the writer in Trivikram comes into form in Khaleja. The way the dialogues on mass hysteria , over-expectations , and fitness levels are written, it's bound to bring a smile on your face His previous movie Jalsa had some brilliant dialogues too. Enthiran

There was a time , when I was a Chiranjeevi fan, to an extent that I even defended his flop movies such as Rickshavodu, Big Boss and others of the same ilk. For me he was was the ultimate star- the superstar. And hearing tales of Amitabh Bachchan from my father did nothing to alter my views on Chiranjeevi's superstardom Towards the end of my graduation, that is circa 2005 in April, two movies released- Mumbai Express and Chandramukhi. I went to Mumbai Express for the first day first show and was not impressed. Rajnikanth, coming off a colossal flop called  Baba  and Chandramukhi was touted to be his comeback vehicle. Since we had nothing to do, we dragged ourselves to Chandramukhi and I was impressed with the fact that as a superstar, he allowed the female protagonist to run away with the credit Well when Sivaji released, I got to see Rajni mania first hand and what a sight it was! I was in Bangalore and there was a serpentine queue to procure the tickets. The sheer magnitude

Superstardom is what makes you glued to the seats even when the proceedings seem a little dreary for our comfort. Enthiran/Robo/Robot was called as the movie that rode on superstardom without actually making the protagonist behave like one. South of the Vindhya's is the place where most of the superstars in India orginated from and not without reason. It's a topic that's left out for discussion on a rainy day Superstardom does not rest easily on many shoulders. What you do when you sense it, is to want to get to the crowd a lot more and entertain them. Expectations increase, pressure to beat the collections of your last big hit increases, and the frequent and fervent desire to stretch the imaginations comes in Mahesh Babu after notching up the blockbuster called Pokiri experienced all these in some magnitude or the other and came up with two duds called Sainikudu and Athidhi. Trivikram, the director of his new movie, Khaleja does a lot in resuscitating the superstardom
