Changes to Champions League Twenty20

After dragging on for 16 days, Champions League Twenty20 came to an end and Chennai Super Kings were crowned the champions at the end of it all and rightly so. They were the only team to be undefeated throughout the tournament bar the super over finish

The games were one sided in most of the cases, mostly the matches that involved Central Districts, Guyana, and Wayamba. Although it's impossible to restructure the tournament in order to get the best teams in place to play each other, the management can certainly ensure that it is managed in a more proper manner

A few suggestions from my side would be as follows

* Freelancing should be prohibited by the boards and also the state associations. It is highly surprising as to how the management allows IPL teams to play the Champions League when the state associations play a T20 tournament in India. All other countries qualifiers come through a tournament organised by the board. If not taken care of, it would spiral into a huge crisis

Dwayne Bravo once (mis)quoted Trinidad had to be first, Mumbai Indians second and the West Indies third (in priority). Now once this kind of quotes come up it's pretty baffling but the same guy once quoted "It's not about the money and people don't really understand that. Yes, it's a good opportunity to make another set of income and it's nice. And it's a lot of money. But if we weren't playing for West Indies we wouldn't be identified by those teams"
Now since all of this seems to be pretty impossible, the recruits should not be allowed to play against teams they have already represented. An example in the case would be Dwayne Bravo, if Mumbai Indians played Victoria, should not  be allowed to play

* Premier teams should not be allowed to go out in the first few times atleast. New South Wales, which was the champion team from the previous edition should have been provided a wild card entry and the maximum number of teams from a specific tournament should be restricted to only Two . If the same teams from the previous edition qualify, they should play a round-robin amongst themselves if placed below the top two . The winner and runner-up qualify for the main draw. Even the wild-card entrants are placed in the round-robin league

Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol

BREAKING NEWS: Allu Arjun and Ravi Teja from Telugu movies make a fleeting appearance in Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. Doesn't matter that they appear in a TV footage in the movie From the time it was announced that Anil Kapoor would be a part of the Mission Impossible franchise, it was marked as an awaited movie in India. It was widely anticipated that he would play a major role in the movie. Though he serves as a major connecting link in the movie or rather the main reason, why the movie moves to India, he is projected as a lusting billionaire One of the very good things about the movie is its humour content. There are a lot of subtle one-liners by the guy who operates the computer and is the technical guru in the movie. The movie is about an evil mind getting his hand on nuclear warhead and the mission is to stop a full blown war between USA and Russia There are a lot of things that are interlinked in the movie. For example, at the beginning of the mission when it’s sa

Enthiran

There was a time , when I was a Chiranjeevi fan, to an extent that I even defended his flop movies such as Rickshavodu, Big Boss and others of the same ilk. For me he was was the ultimate star- the superstar. And hearing tales of Amitabh Bachchan from my father did nothing to alter my views on Chiranjeevi's superstardom Towards the end of my graduation, that is circa 2005 in April, two movies released- Mumbai Express and Chandramukhi. I went to Mumbai Express for the first day first show and was not impressed. Rajnikanth, coming off a colossal flop called  Baba  and Chandramukhi was touted to be his comeback vehicle. Since we had nothing to do, we dragged ourselves to Chandramukhi and I was impressed with the fact that as a superstar, he allowed the female protagonist to run away with the credit Well when Sivaji released, I got to see Rajni mania first hand and what a sight it was! I was in Bangalore and there was a serpentine queue to procure the tickets. The sheer magnitude

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara

Ten years ago a young man gave the Hindi film industry a breath of fresh air with his ‘cult’ film Dil Chahta Hai . It was, in all senses a coming of the age movie. That young man now acts in a movie directed by his sister. The movie bears uncanny resemblance to the movie made by the man himself Starring Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol and Farhan Akhtar (in the same order as they appear in screen credits), the movie has a lot going for it. The star cast is a major plus and the biggest positive for the movie is the location that it has been shot in- Spain What starts off as a fun trip changes into one where the protagonists confront their fears and in the process we peel the layers of their personalities. Though at some places the movie seems dragged, it does the job of taking you along with the proceedings. The only complaint, if there has to be one, is the fact that the comic track that involves the boys scaring others seems a little forced. All the three actors appear in most of the scen
